Singapore, Singapore, Singapore

If I were to choose the cleanest place that I’ve ever been to…it would definitely be Singapore. In fact, it is even against the law to chew gum!

Singapore…Cleanest Country on Earth?

The entire city of Singapore was pretty much completely modernized. At one of the hotels, they let you rent a Ferrari if you were a guest! Every single building was sparkling…literally. The windows were pristine and the floors made my shoes squeak. I did not even see a single piece of litter on the sidewalks, so I was thoroughly impressed. The entire city of Singapore was just absolutely spotless.

Hotel Rooms the Size of your Kitchen

Imagine walking into a hotel room with three giant suitcases and barely being able to fit inside the door. Welcome to our three-day home in Singapore. Holding two full-sized beds, this luxurious hotel room is definitely worth every penny. Oh, and did I forget to mention the one window…yeah, there was one. Well, at least we made it work. We created a system of strategic stepping to get from one side of the room to another. Just kidding! But for real, it was really hard to get around. Try curling your hair in a room that small. I will forever have nightmares of that daunting task.

Chinatown

Chinatown was a place of chaos and food. In my opinion, this road was one of the coolest places in the entire country of Singapore. There were dancers, food vendors, decorations, and other parts of ancient Chinese culture. Many people come here just to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the unique atmosphere. Chinatown is definitely a must-be if you ever do get the once-in-a-lifetime chance to visit the vast and wonderful city of Singapore.

Jurong Bird Park

Three french hens, two turtle doves, and my friend the crowned pigeon. Yes, I absolutely became friends with a bird. He liked me so much that he tried to chase me; such a sweetheart. Home to the world’s largest indoor waterfall, Jurong Bird Park is one impressive place. There are bird shows, a place to feed parakeets, shops, an indoor bird walk, and a road with different exhibits of history. In my opinion, the best part of the entire park was the indoor bird walk and feeding the parakeets.

Night Safari

The night safari is something that will not soon be forgotten. Being taken through animal habitats at night is something much cooler than you might expect. Seeing wildlife in their natural state and environment is pretty awesome. Some animals prowl the premises at night, while others barely stick their heads out of their homes.

Singapore Super Trees

Have you ever seen light-up trees bigger that a hotel in the middle of a park? Well, if you haven’t, you should go see the Singapore Super Trees. Even without the lights, the trees are still absolutely stunning. If you go at night, however, the trees become even more spectacular with their dazzling array of lights filling the night sky. You can also pay to walk across a set of bridges that go in between the astonishing sculptures. In one of the trees, there is a restaurant that you can eat at and enjoy authentic Singapore food. This, I have just heard. I am planning to go back someday and immerse myself even deeper into the Singapore culture and to check out more of the city.

Marina Bay Sands

Ah, the boat hotel; one weird building indeed…spotlessly clean…but weird. So expensive that I would need about seven years of allowance to stay here…by myself; for one night. However, if you do pay to stay here, you get to rent a Ferrari…for a fee. But, there’s more! You could choose between multiple vibrant colors. I will admit, from what I saw of it, the place was unquestionably gorgeous.

5 Weird Laws in Singapore

  • Annoying someone with a musical instrument – fine of $1,000 USD
  • Bringing durians into public buildings – fine of $500 USD

Even though it is not one of the most known countries, Singapore is definitely a sight to behold. Life is not something to be taken for granted, so enjoy everything you see and do; even the smallest moments and places in life count for something.
